Privacy
The short version: this site barely touches your data.
rajan.no is a personal portfolio. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no sign-up. This page explains the little that does get processed, and your rights under the GDPR.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Api ("I", "me"), based in Sandnes, Norway. For any privacy question or request, email apimanju@rajan.no.
What I collect directly
Nothing. There are no contact forms, comments, accounts, or newsletter sign-ups. If you email me, I only receive what you choose to put in that email, and I keep it for as long as needed to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
Data stored in your browser
The light/dark theme switch saves a single value (api-theme)
in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your preference.
It never leaves your device and is not a tracking cookie. Clearing your
browser storage removes it.
Hosting and infrastructure
The site is served through Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as CDN, proxy,
and security layer. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare
automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, the page
requested, timestamp, referrer, and user-agent string. Cloudflare may
set a strictly necessary cookie (__cf_bm) for bot
detection; it carries no advertising or cross-site tracking function and
expires within roughly 30 minutes.
The legal basis for this processing is my legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in running a functional, secure website. Server and security logs are retained only for a short period by the provider and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
Fonts
Web fonts are bundled and served from this site's own domain. No font files or requests go to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service, so no data is shared with them.
External links
Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, itch.io and similar services take you to sites I do not control. Once you follow one, that service's own privacy policy applies.
International transfers
Cloudflare is based in the United States and may process the technical data above outside the EEA. Those transfers are covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as set out in Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email apimanju@rajan.no.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.no.
